Giving to local causes through the Foundation means you can enjoy all of the following benefits:
We give you access to 1,000s of small charities, voluntary and community groups across Devon and identify which groups will put your money to best use.
Our Grassroots Challenge means we can match donations £2:£2 (2008-2009) and £2:£1 (2009-2011) making more of your giving.
We are committed to building endowed funds, creating a permanent source of support for Devon's people and its communities.
Because we support a wide range of causes, we can adapt our funds to tackle local issues and respond to your own personal charitable aims.
We monitor, evaluate and report back on all grants so you know exactly how your money is being spent. If you set up your own charitable fund with the Foundation, you will receive regular fund statements showing how your money is being invested. You can even visit projects and meet in person those who your money is helping.
90p of every £1 donated goes direct to local people.
We handle all financial, legal, administrative, grant making and monitoring activities on your behalf, making us a cost-effective alternative to setting up your own charitable trust.
If you set up a fund, your own personal fund manager will ensure every aspect of your giving runs smoothly and works exactly as you wish.
