Could we apply for a grant for other disabilities or illnesses similar to Cerebral Palsy?

Although the Trust is sympathetic towards other disabilities this fund only applies to individuals who have Cerebral Palsy and any related disabilities.

Could we apply for a grant for a video or DVD player?

No. Grants can only be awarded for essential domestic items E.g. washing machine, cooker, fridge under the welfare category.

Can I apply for more than one activity/item e.g. a holiday and a washing machine?

No. You must decide which is the greater need and apply for only one activity/item.

Can we apply for more than one grant from each programme?

No. As individuals can only hold one grant from each programme in a financial year. If your application however, has been rejected you can apply again in the same year for something else.

Could you make the cheque payable to the individual?

No. Payments can only be made to third parties, i.e. direct to the retailer/shop or driving school.

Do I have to be in the care of the Local Authority now to receive a grant?

No. you have to have been in care in one of the qualifying areas for at least six months at some point in your life.

Can we apply for more than one grant from each programme?

No. as individuals can only hold one grant from each programme in a financial year. If your application however, has been rejected you can apply again in the same year for something else.
