COMPANIES SIGN UP TO DAREDEVIL DAY TO RAISE MONEY FOR DEVON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Twofour Productions, Michelmores, Vickery Holman, WRE Environmental, NPS and Interserve are just some of the companies across Devon which have signed up to take part in the first ever Western Morning News 150th Anniversary Daredevil Challenge on behalf of local charity Devon Community Foundation.
The Daredevil Challenge, which is sponsored by the Really Good Recruitment Company, will take place on 10th September at River Dart Country Park and will help to raise money for the Western Morning News' chosen charity, Devon Community Foundation, which is helping local people in need across the county.
Everything raised by the event will be doubled by the Foundation as part of its Grassroots Challenge which is aiming to secure £1.25 million in extra match funding from the government to support small local charities and community groups helping local people in need.
Teams of six will take part in a series of mental and physical tasks including high ropes, building a raft, zip-wiring, zorbing, orienteering and problem solving games.
Hannah Ellis Murdock, Director of the Really Good Recruitment Company comments, "We're delighted by the response and the calibre of the companies which have chosen to take part. This is a fantastic opportunity for companies to help get members of their staff involved in a really fun team building afternoon -the bonds and relationships formed on the course can really help to improve team spirit and communication back in the office - something that's so important at the moment as businesses continue to face challenges."
Entry cost is £15 per team member and each team member needs to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship. Final entry deadline 3rd September. Event includes free BBQ.
