VICKERY HOLMAN VICTORIOUS IN DAREDEVIL CHALLENGE

Property consultants, Vickery Holman, beat off competition from seven other daring teams to scoop the first ever Really Good Recruitment Company/Devon Community Foundation Daredevil Challenge Cup.

The teams, which also included the Two Four Group, Michelmores, WRE Ltd, Interserve, NPS, Michael Thorne Construction and Devon Community Foundation competed for just over three hours taking on a range of challenges from high ropes to high beams and from building a raft to zorbing across a river.

One daring member of the Interserve team decided to walk the high balance beam in just his pants and a member of WRE decided to treat his team members to a dunking in the river by pushing them off the raft!

Vickery Holman team leader, Jenny Ireland comments, "We were incredibly proud to win. It was definitely a bonding experience for us, as the team was pulled together from various departments, we'd definitely think about doing it again."

Newton Abbot based WRE (Western Renewable Energy) took second place and property services group, NPS came third.

Sarah Gunn, Fund Development Manager for Devon Community Foundation adds, "We'd like to thank The Really Good Recruitment Company and all the teams who took part for their support and for really entering into the spirit of the day. It was a great team building afternoon and a fantastic way for local companies to give back to local community groups helping local people in need in the areas where they operate. We're looking forward to doing it all again next year!"

Everything raised by the event will be doubled as part of the Devon Community Foundation Grassroots Challenge.
