Where does the money go?

Below are just a few examples of what your donation to our Christmas Appeal could pay for in Devon. Please give generously.

  • 2 individual food parcels
  • Internet access for over-60's computer workshops for a year

  • 5 sleeping bags for the homeless
  • 166 miles of volunteers' fuel travelling to offer counselling

  • A young carers' Christmas Party
  • 10 pantomime tickets for children with disabilities

  • 5 food parcels - each enough for 2 adults and 2 children
  • Rent for a coffee morning for the elderly bereaved

  • 20 sets of waterproof clothing for the homeless
  • A day trip for families with disabled children

  • Laptop computer for a job club for the long term unemployed
  • 8 counselling sessions for victims of sexual abuse

  • A Christmas dinner for 50 elderly people
  • A club for 6 months for 80 people with learning disabilities

  • Training for a scout group to support local people in emergencies
  • A support worker for 25 weeks to work with excluded teenagers

  • Drug mentoring programmes training former addicts to help others still battling addiction
  • 140 riding lessions for deaf children developing their confidence and communication skills
