Although Devon is a beautiful county, we also know that it contains 27 of the most deprived neighbourhood areas in the UK and has to tackle issues like rural isolation, lack of services and low wages.
In Plymouth, 11,000 children are living below the poverty line and Torbay has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe.
By listening to local people and keeping abreast of local issues, we aim to direct our grants to the areas of most need where they will have the greatest impact.
